Top Ten Dynamic Stamp Solutions

Dynamic PDF stamps can be used for an endless list of workflow and automation solutions.  This is our top ten list with short videos (most are 2 minutes or less).  All solutions work with Acrobat or Reader with the exception of 6 and 8, which only work with Acrobat. 

1)       DATE AND TIME STAMP AUTOMATION

This solution automatically inserts the date and/or time when the stamp is applied.  Acrobat and Reader come with dynamic stamps that insert the date and time (“Approved”, “Received”, ”Reviewed”, “Revised”) but your own custom branded dynamic stamp can be created to automatically insert the date and time, in the format of your choice.  WATCH

2)      APPROVER IDENTITY AUTOMATION

This solution automatically inserts the approver's name or computer login name when the stamp is applied.  Acrobat and Reader come with dynamic stamps that insert the user's name (“Approved”, “Received”, ”Reviewed”) but your own custom branded dynamic stamp can be created to automatically insert the user's name or computer login name into the stamp.  WATCH

3)      MULTIPLE APPROVER IDENTITY AUTOMATION

Like the previous solution, this one also automatically inserts the approver's name or computer login name when the stamp is applied but this stamp can go through multiple levels of approval, inserting a different approver's identification each time.  WATCH

4)       WRITTEN SIGNATURE AUTOMATION

 Like the previous two solutions, this one also adds the approver's name or computer login name when the stamp is applied and also adds an image of the approver's written signature depending on who is logged in to the computer.  Multiple approver's can be added to this solution as well.  WATCH

5)      FORM FIELD FILLING AUTOMATION

This solution takes the data entered into the dynamic stamp and uses it to populate from fields on the document being stamped.  WATCH

6)      METADATA AUTOMATION

Adobe Acrobat has a very powerful and robust search feature that will search all PDFs in the specified area of the computer or network.  Marking PDF documents with custom metadata can make this search extremely easy.  This solution takes the data entered into the dynamic stamp and automatically inserts it as metadata into the PDF being stamped.  WATCH

7)      NUMBER INCREMENT AUTOMATION

This solution inserts sequential numbers into the dynamic stamp each time it is applied to the same document.  Even if the document is closed down, or the computer rebooted, the sequence will continue where it left off.  WATCH  Premium members can access this stamp for themselves and others can order it from our online store.

8)      BAR CODE AUTOMATION

Adobe Acrobat has a barcode form field solution in which the barcode contains the information from other form fields in the PDF.  The information changes in real time as the form field values in the document change.  The form field data can then be extracted by a barcode reader and the data automatically entered into a back office system or database.  This solution has a barcode embedded into the dynamic stamp that contains the data that was entered when the stamp was applied.  WATCH

9)      CALCULATION AUTOMATION

This solution performs mathematical calculations from numbers entered into the dynamic stamp and embeds those numbers and calculated numbers into the dynamic stamp.  WATCH

10)   EDITABLE DYNAMIC STAMP

Once applied to a document a dynamic stamp cannot traditionally be edited.  Our proprietary solution allows for additions and corrections to a dynamic stamp that has already been applied.  WATCH
